Reading Notes: Homer's Odyssey, Part A

 -When narrating a story from the first person perspective, it is important to still use the thoughts of the main character to illustrate the emotions of the other characters around them, like how Odysseus makes statements with "we".

-Taking a short paragraph to paint a picture of the setting is a good idea, like describing the area, then adding small details to that landscape, and then highlighting the existence of other objects around it, leaving the scene to the imagination of the reader while giving them the essential objects to build it.

-Adding photos alongside character descriptions is something that may be needed for complex characters that aren't conventional, like fantastical beasts or monsters, as I held that problem as a reader before where I would imagine a character fairly incorrectly due to vague descriptions by the writer, but they would make sense when I saw an illustration.
