Reading Notes: Kalevala, Part A
- The tale from the Kalevala is one that easily fits the world of Cyberpunk, as the poem Runo 3 begins its story about a man hearing about a better land. Cyberpunk revolves around a world with huge wealth disparities, so I could write about V wishing for life on the other side of the fence where the grass is greener.
- V doesn't have parents to ask for permission to make a journey to a better land, but that plot could be replaced with some other obstruction preventing him from moving. There could be a building for the elite that he wishes to move into, but the owners are preventing him.
- In the story, Joukahainen crashes into Vainamoinen on the road and is unable to move due to their carts being wedged together. This could be replaced with a car accident in Night City where V crashes his car into another vehicle and is unable to continue driving.
